I'm from UTSA, can I use UT Health Library and their databases now?
Answer
While UT San Antonio officially began on September 1, 2025, it will take a while for the integration of the library systems at UTSA and UT Health San Antonio. The Libraries and Collections Working Group will focus on integrating and enhancing library resources and collections across the institution. The goal of the group is to ensure seamless access to varied and comprehensive resources for all faculty, students, and staff, while also addressing the infrastructure and support needed to facilitate this integration. For more information, please visit the UT San Antonio Together website (see link below).
At this time, faculty and students from UTSA do not have access to UT Health San Antonio's Briscoe Library or to their online resources. Off-campus access is a complex process, involving licensing agreements for hundreds of online databases and platforms, and will take some time.
To check out a book or get an article from a journal in their collection, please use GET IT FOR ME, our InterLibrary Loan service. (Note: The material you need may come from a library other than UT Health San Antonio.)
