Q. “You are authenticated as a UTSA affiliate, but not eligible for access.” What does that mean?
Answer
This message usually means that a student is not currently registered, or that faculty and staff no longer have appointments in PeopleSoft.
Online resources from the Library are only accessible from off campus to current UTSA faculty, staff, and students. Access status is determined by the Registrar (for students) and PeopleSoft (for faculty and staff), not by the Library. After midnight on the last day of the semester, students who are not registered for the following semester, or faculty and staff whose appointments have expired in PeopleSoft, will no longer have online access
Once a student registers, they should receive online access again within 48 hours. Faculty and staff should speak with their departments/offices to update their status in PeopleSoft.
There are some less common cases where this message may appear. For more information, please see the link below for our guide to Electronic Resources: Troubleshooting.
