What is Google Scholar and how do I use it?

Answer

Google Scholar searches for peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts, and technical reports from many disciplines. Results come from a variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, and universities, as well as scholarly articles from the internet. Google Scholar includes full text and citations.

Use the library link to Google Scholar to access subscriptions already paid for by the UTSA Library. If you are off campus, you may be prompted for your myUTSA ID and passphrase. If you do not use the library link for off-campus access, full text may only be available with payment.
