Q. Can retired UTSA faculty access library electronic resources?

Answer

Library privileges for UTSA retired faculty (without emeritus status):

  • Retired faculty may apply for a free library card by presenting a departmental letter. They can check out up to 5 books at a time for 28 days, and up to 4 DVDs for 7 days, with one renewal for both.
  • Interlibrary loan requests are available with a $5 fee per request.
  • Electronic resources are accessible only on campus from guest computers.  There are no remote access privileges to electronic resources.

Retired emeritus faculty keep their UTSA email address and have full access to library electronic resources, including remote access.
